What is the Florida Veterans Support Line (FVSL) ?
2-1-1 Tampa Bay Cares is part of a statewide program of Florida 2-1-1 centers dedicated to helping Florida veterans receive both emotional support and linkages to community resources.
Why is the Florida Veterans Support Line Needed?
Florida is the third-largest state with the third-largest veteran population in the United States. More than 1,533,306 veterans call Florida their home. There is an average of about 22 veteran suicides a day. There was a need identified by the VA and other statewide partners for more assistance for veterans.
