Fresh Start For Pasco relies on the experience, vision, and leadership of its Board of Directors to provide the organization with responsible governance and bolster its efforts to maintain our vision.” Jan has two years Business College from McHenry County in 1979-1981. She attended Pasco Hernando Community College for Grant writing and Advance Grant Writing in 2007. She is a Chaplain with a Doctor or Divinity. Jan lives in Pasco County, New Port Richey Florida.

Jan Martini

Founder / CEO has 18 years combined experience in chairing Non profit boards before starting this charity. She has volunteered for 6 years for Lutheran Services Florida and Lutheran disaster response before starting this charity. Because of the disasters or 2004 she founded Charley’s Angels Team Florida Inc. an Early Response Organization. This organization travels all over the US reaching out and helping those in need after any disaster. January 2005 at the request of Governor Jeb Bush and requested by Thrivent, Lutheran Services, Church World Services and FEMA, she started Pasco Counties only non for profit Long Term Recovery Organization called FSP (Fresh Start for Pasco Inc.) She is still chairperson for this organization. Jan holds 10 FEMA certificates and the Emergency Management Institute in Introduction” to the “Incident Command System”, “Incident Command System”, “Single Resources and Initial Actions Incidents”, “National Incident Management System”, National Response Plan Intro”, “Intermediate Incident Command System”, “Advanced Incident Command System”‘ “Are You Ready” and “Special Events Contingency Planning for Public Safety Agencies”, FL603- PA Emergency Work and FL609-PA Permanent Work.  Jan has been CERT and VIPS trained. January 1, 200. Jan and her board with their volunteers opened Pasco County first Cold Night Emergency Shelter.

Nils Lenz

Vice Chair / Treasurer

Has served on the board of Thrivent Financial, he is an Accountant and Financial Analyst, Nils has a MBA and 2 Bachelors of Science Degrees in Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technology. Nils oversees the book and the files and all IRS paper work. Nils joined the board in 2006, he lives in Pasco County, Zephyrhills, Florida.

Adam Summers

Adam Summers

Director / IT Owner

Adam is the operator of A-M-S-Computers, and is part of the TECH Soup Program, GOOD360, and the Microsoft Registered Refurbisher Programs. Adam provides administrative IT related services to our organization. Adam ha aslo served as IT for many local non-profit agencies in the area. Adam joined the board in 2011. He and his family live in Spring Hill Florida.

David Bear

Director

David works at Pasco County Fire and Rescue a firefighter/EMT. He also works part-time at New Port Richey Fire Department as a Firefighter/EMT. David is one of 3 CPR and first aid instructors for Pasco County Employees. He is one of several instructors for the CERT classes. He is the Commander of Oldsmar Post 12186. David keeps our team CPR and First aid trained. David joined the board in 2014.

Rick Hill

Director

Rick owns several businesses in Pasco County and Hillsborough County. He does charity work in his spare time. Rick is our business advisor and helps with the food drive once a year.

Rick joined the board in 2015 he lives in Pasco County, New Port Richey, Florida

James Powers

Chairperson for the Addiction Committee (Freedom from addiction)

I’m James E. Powers, most folks know me as Jim. I founded “FREEDOM form Addiction”. Hurts, Habits and Hang ups, it’s a 12-step program plus and a Support Group

My credentials are:

  • Studied psychology at PHCC Celebrate Recovery training. (Where I was trained to train the leaders that run
  • Celebrate Recovery a 12 -step recovery program) Over 6 years’ experience in 12 step programs and recovery coaching.
  • Life Coach Training at: Life Coach Training & Entrepreneurship School.
  • Studied Theology at: Trinity Bible College and Moody Bible College.

Sandra Delgado

Disaster Mitigation Chair

I was born and raised in Pasco County. I have lived in Moon Lake for 35 years. I have been married for 36 years, we have 1 daughter and three grandchildren. I met Jan when we were introduced by Mike Wells to help organize a community cleanup in 2018. We have worked on many community projects since.
